All Moose, all the time
Music for all occasions
Acoustic Moose is a south-central PA duo featuring Linda Null on vocals/keys and Tim Geisweit on acoustic guitar. We play classic rock, blues, folk rock, and country and love entertaining people!
Blue Moose Band is the electric version of Acoustic Moose...
with more attitude! (and more musicians)
Take a woman with a voice reminiscent of Etta James combined with Janis Joplin, who brings emotion and passion into every note she sings, add an accomplished guitar player whose style of playing is influenced by blues, folk, country, and classical, allowing him to create a dynamic range of sound, and you have Acoustic Moose. This duo typically plays at wineries, breweries, restaurants, riverboats, and college campuses in PA and VA. The unique song selection (from Neil Young, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beatles, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin, CCR, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tesdeschi, and John Denver to some surprises such as Radiohead, The Black Crowes, and The Cranberries) is tailored for each event, resulting in a mix that has venues and guests asking for repeat performances.
When venues want something more, Acoustic Moose adds a percussionist to become Acoustic Moose and Squirrel. 14 year-old Marty Andrews, or Squirrel as his fans call him, is a WFL III Drums endorsed artist, as well as a Sabian affiliate artist. Performing as Acoustic Moose and Squirrel, Linda picks up the bass to provide a trio of entertainment. When Marty can’t make it, or when we need less than a full drum kit, Todd Atkins joins us on Cajon. Todd is a drummer/percussionist from MD who received his degree in music, and who studied drums with jazz drummer Bill Reichenbach. Todd, Linda, and Tim also play in Blue Moose, the electric version of Acoustic Moose, along with Chris Kuhns on lead guitar.
This band covers many different genres, including classic rock, folk, country, pop, and blues. When you want to party, party with The Moose!

Linda will astound you with her hard driving vocals so much that you’ll exclaim, “How did that voice come out of someone as sweet and innocent as her?” Linda began to sing professionally when her husband passed away so that she could cope with such a loss. “Music really is therapy” is her motto.

Tim is an proficient musician with a classical piano background. He started on piano at the age of 6 through the encouragement of his grandmother who at one time played steel guitar in a country band. Later, in fifth and sixth grade, he sang in the school chorus where he performed many solos as well as singing soprano, alto, and tenor parts, sometimes during the same performance, as the music teacher saw fit. He later played saxophone in high school and college. Tim then purchased his first guitar at the age of 18. He later played in a variety of bands with other accomplished musicians such as Steve Creter (who’s band Southbound toured and opened for many famous bands), Mark James (who toured from coast to coast and performed on the same stage with musicians like Warren Zevon and Marie Osmond), John Fake (who toured with the Nineteen Ten Fruit Gum Company), as well as others. Tim then picked up the bass at the age of 46 and has become the driving force behind the Blue Moose Band.
Chris has been playing guitar since the age of sixteen when he created his first band, Blue Cabaret, with his high school friends. Primarily butchering the standards of the day, the band also dabbled in some classic rock with which Chris gained an appreciation for the sounds of the late sixties and seventies. He's played in several electric and acoustic bands since, most recently Bear Mountain and Stealing the Return, and has a profound weakness for twenty minute-plus covers of Cortez the Killer.
Eileen Creed (Drums and vocals): Eileen, who hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia, played drums through high school then stopped playing to get married, raise a family, and pursue a career as a Registered Nurse. After a few years, she found that playing drums was still in her blood and resumed her passion for drumming. Eileen has been successfully balancing drumming in bands with marriage, family, children, grandchildren, church & career for more than 25 years now. She played drums with numerous notable musicians and bands, as well as putting together and managing a few very successful bands herself. She still enjoys playing drums at several jam sessions in the area, from where she attributes developing her own style of drumming… “Just REALLY listen, then let yourself PLAY the song.” Lately Eileen was asked to join Blue Moose Band where she continues to have fun Rocking those drums!
